Hybrid marine adventure game ‘DAVE THE DIVER’ has surpassed 10 million copies in cumulative global sales, becoming the first Korean single-player packaged game to reach the milestone.
‘DAVE THE DIVER’ is a hybrid marine adventure game that combines underwater exploration of the Blue Hole with sushi restaurant management. Players collect marine life during the day and run a sushi restaurant using the ingredients they gather at night. Its distinctive combination of exploration, collection and management gameplay has continued to attract players around the world with its immersive experience.
Surpassing 10 million copies represents more than a sales record, marking the culmination of the game’s journey in demonstrating its strength in the global market through distinctive gameplay. Even three years after its official launch, new content, platform expansion and collaborations with various I·Ps have continued to contribute to sales growth.
Beginning with PC, ‘DAVE THE DIVER’ has expanded across console platforms including PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox. Its mobile version is scheduled for a global launch on September 17 via Apple’s App Store and Google Play. The mobile version adapts the gameplay of the PC and console editions for mobile devices, introducing controls optimized for the platform, including touch and tilt functionality, while retaining the feel of the original game.
The game has also released DLC through collaborations with internationally recognized I·Ps including ‘Godzilla’ and ‘Like a Dragon’. The ‘In the Jungle’ DLC, released in June, sold 1 million copies in just over two months, helping drive the base game past the 10 million-copy milestone.
In addition, Dave has appeared in popular games including ‘GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE’ and ‘Fortnite’, while collaborations with major franchises such as KFC China and Sushiro have further expanded the game’s reach to new audiences.
