KRAFTON’s creative studio Neon Giant will launch the Nintendo Switch 2 version of its action shooter RPG ‘The Ascent’ on December 3.
Neon Giant first unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 version of ‘The Ascent’ and its release date during Nintendo Direct on September 9. The launch is part of the platform expansion plan announced in a roadmap unveiled in July to mark the fifth anniversary of ‘The Ascent’.
‘The Ascent’ is an action shooter RPG set in a cyberpunk world. The game supports both single-player and cooperative play for up to four players and has been played by more than 12 million users since its launch in 2021.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be released exclusively in digital format on Nintendo eShop as the ‘Ultimate Edition’. In addition to the base game, it will include all three previously released DLC packs — the story expansion ‘Cyber Heist’, ‘CyberSec Pack’ and ‘Cyber Warrior Pack’ — allowing players to enjoy the complete package without additional purchases.
The game will support a total of 10 languages, including Korean, and will be priced at $29.99.
